Here's the recipe, I hope you enjoy!
1/2 c Butter
1 c Sugar
4 oz Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips
1 tsp Vanilla
2 Eggs
1 Egg Yolk
1/4 c Cocoa Powder
3/4 c Flour
1/2 tsp Salt
Preheat oven to 350°. Line an 8x8 pan with parchment paper and set aside.
In a microwave safe bowl, melt the 1/2 c Butter. Remove the bowl from the microwave and add in 1 c Sugar. Whisk those together, the texture will be kind of crumbly. Add the bowl to a microwave again for an additional 30 seconds to melt down the sugar. The texture should be a lot more smooth now, stir to mix. Add to the microwave one more time for an additional 60 seconds. The mixture should be slightly bubbly, but not burning, give one more mix.
Whisk in the 4 oz of Semi Sweet Chocolate Chips until they melt into the mixture. If they aren't melting completely, add into the microwave for an additional 15 seconds or so, be careful not to burn the mixture.
Once the chocolate has been melted and fully incorporated, add in the 1 tsp Vanilla and stir in. Then add in the 2 Eggs and 1 Egg Yolk, mixing in between each time.
Lastly you'll want to add in all the dry ingredients, I add these in all at once; 1/4 c Cocoa Powder, 3/4 c Flour, 1/2 tsp Salt.
Pour the batter into your lined 8x8 pan.
Bake for 30 minutes at 350°, or until you stick a toothpick in and it comes out mostly clean (you'd want a few little crumbs on it).
Allow to cool for 10 minutes before removing from the pan, if you can handle waiting that long.
Enjoy!
Love, Sam
