Here's the recipe, I hope you enjoy!

1 1/2 c Butter (softened)

1 1/2 c Brown Sugar

3/4 c Granulated Sugar

2 Eggs

1 1/2 tbsp Vanilla (measure with your heart, as always)

2 tsp Baking Soda

1 tsp Baking Powder

1 tsp Salt 4 1/2 c Flour

1/2 c Nutella (honestly, measure with your heart, the more the better)

2 tsp Coarse Salt

  • Preheat oven to 350°.

  • Using a stand mixer, or hand mixer, cream the softened 1 1/2 c Butter, 1 1/2 c Brown Sugar, and 3/4 c Granulated Sugar.

  • Add in the 2 Eggs and 1 1/2 tbsp Vanilla, mix until creamy.

  • To the Butter mixture, add in the 2 tsp Baking Soda, 1 tsp Baking Powder, 1 tsp Salt, and 4 1/2 c Flour. Mix until the dough is formed, if too dry, add a dash of milk.

  • Make balls of around 1/3 c, I measured using a kitchen scale with each ball being 100 grams. Add to a parchment lined baking sheet, make sure to keep the balls separated because they will expand in the oven.

  • Use your thumb to create a large enough indent for the Nutella to fill.

  • Scoop in a spoonful of Nutella into the indents of the cookies. Close the cookie around the Nutella.

  • Bake for 12-14 minutes, they'll continue to cook while on the cookie sheet cooling off.

  • While the cookies are cooling, melt some more Nutella, around 1/3 c (but like I always say, measure with your heart) in 15 second increments using a small bowl in the microwave until liquid enough to drizzle onto the cookies. Drizzle the Nutella onto the cookies and follow up with sprinkling 2 tsp Coarse Salt on top.

  • Let them cool, if you can handle waiting long enough.

Enjoy!

Love, Sam
